According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 7,900 baby boomers will turn 60 every single day this year. In addition, real estate is the largest single asset class held by households that are headed by someone who is 65 or older, according to Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies. The SRES® Council was created to help ensure that maturing baby boomers are protected and represented fairly throughout all real estate transactions.
The SRES® Council provides education to REALTORS® that focuses on the needs of baby boomers over 50. In addition to educating REALTORS®, the SRES® Council serves baby boomers looking to buy or sell their home by providing valuable information resources and helps connect home buyers and sellers with qualified SRES® members.
